2015 marks the 12th triennial WDSC, this year to be hosted in Chennai, India by Down Syndrome International and the Down Syndrome Association of Tamilnadu! This congress provides an opportunity for many people from across the globe to come together to meet, share knowledge, experiences and perhaps open new frontiers in improving the lives of people with Down syndrome. For people with Down syndrome the Congress provides the opportunity to build new friendships and the platform for voicing their wishes and dreams and exchanging ideas.
In 2012, e.motion21 was one of the few performance groups to be invited to attend at this triennial congress in South Africa. This was such an incredible experience for our 18 dancers to showcase their talents on an international platform as well as gain valuable experience from international travel.
This year we have again been invited to attend and our aim is to take a delegation of 60 people, including dancers, parents, and volunteers to India. We will be there to perform, conduct workshops on our programs, engage in the conference, and share our valuable RMIT University research findings from both 2013 and 2014.
As a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with Down syndrome, our financial capacity to support this amazing opportunity is only possible through the generosity of individuals, community, corporate and philanthropic support. Whatever the amount, we would greatly appreciate your contribution towards our work – Moving Bodies and Moving Boundaries for youth with Down syndrome.
Register your interest in being a part of this amazing opportunity today!!
